After a little bit of research I found out that this Young And The Restless actress, Stacy Haiduk, borrowed this prop from the set.
Apparantly she has 3 cats at home who she loves and rehearses with.
Can anyone say publicity stunt? I don't know if this is better or worse than the Bjork 'swan' incident.
