Books I am Reading

The Love Dare: This is a great book with daily exercises. My husband and I are reading this together. I believe that after we finish the 40 day book we will have learnt even more about eachother. The book provides practical and wise suggestions on how to have a healthy marriage.

The Duggars: I didn't know about this family until my friend introduced them to me. They are very inspiring. Imagining living debt free and having 18 kids? Seems impossible but this family proves that it is not.

So you don't want to go to Church anymore: I just started this book but I am already enjoying it. It bothers me that Church sometimes feels like a routine and not a time to be praising God. I believe the purpose of this book is to provide you with a new found love for going to Church but it does also challenge our Sunday morning routine. I think this is going to be a great book to teach me (or anyone) on what it means to walk with God everyday.

  1. hey.. saw this link from the comments on bens blog. I read "So you don't want to go to church..." almost a year ago. Such a good read. Very eye opening.

I agree.. we do so many "church" things only because we have just always done it. I think we lose sight of what Jesus was all about.. relationships. We get too busy trying to keep up our appearances within the "church" and having to live up to the "churches" expectations that we forget that its all about Jesus. Jesus wasn't about "church" He was about meeting people where they were at, and building relationships.

just my 2 cents.. i loved that book. Would lave to chat more about it sometime.
