Praise God for 7/11

... And then something unexpected happens.

I am guilty of not truly believing that God can do ANYTHING. I say it, but do I really believe it? Do we really believe He can do anything - move a mountain, save a life, heal the sick. I don't think we have the ability to understand God. We can't label Him, we can't limit Him. We don't understand.

God, in His grace, has worked in my husband's heart. 07/11 will be remembered as the day my husband asked Jesus into his heart and made the decision to become a follower of Christ.

It was such an amazing moment. I am in shock, to lead my husband to the Lord was a dream for me, not a reality. My husband is amazing, and like God, full of surprises.

I look at my husband now and I really feel closer to him. Together we have the same direction and focus. I know it won't be easy from here, it will probably get harder. As Christians, we all choose the narrow path.

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14

I am ashamed that I did not believe more fully that God would work in my husband so quickly. For my husband's sake I am glad that God is more faithful and devoted than I. This morning I read this verse:

"Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men." 1 Corinthians 1:25

It made me chuckle in delight because sometimes we think we are so smart and that we know what can and cannot happen. Thankfully, God is far beyond our comprehension and will continue to do the unimaginable.

Thank you Lord, there are no words to describe how grateful I am for your gift of salvation!

  1. WOW! PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW. I got chills reading this. That is just so neat-I bet you have been floating on cloud 9 all day. So excited for you and your husband-and yes it will get more difficult in some ways probably because Satan will try and get in there to destroy the good-but Praise God he can not do that and we are victorious with God.
Praising Him for His faithfulness and even in our unbelief He is not willing to let us go and does what He promises us He will do.
    Happy Day to you all-
    Blessings

  3. That is wonderful! There just isn't anything better on earth, than going through life in a marriage devoted to the Lord. To God be the glory!
